DriveBalance is a free tool offered as-is. Using it means accepting the terms below.

1. What the service is
DriveBalance is a web page that analyses the storage footprint of your Google Drive and shows you which files, types, duplicates and years account for it. It runs entirely in your browser. There is no account to create and no fee.
2. What it does not do
DriveBalance never modifies, moves or deletes files. It holds a read-only metadata scope, which makes writing to your Drive technically impossible. When you want to act on a result, DriveBalance hands you a link into Google Drive; every deletion is performed by you, in Drive, under your own control.
3. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for anything you delete in Drive after using DriveBalance to find it. Deletions in Drive can be permanent — review before you empty the Trash.
- Use the tool only with a Google account you are entitled to access.
- Do not attempt to use DriveBalance to circumvent Google's API quotas, terms, or rate limits.
4. Accuracy
Sizes reported by DriveBalance come from Google Drive's own size and
quotaBytesUsed fields. Totals may differ from the figure Google shows for your
account, and an in-progress scan shows a partial picture. Do not treat DriveBalance's numbers as
an authoritative statement of your storage usage.
5. Privacy
Data handling is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: metadata only, nothing leaves your browser.
6. Availability
DriveBalance is provided without any guarantee of availability. It may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time without notice. It also depends on the Google Drive API remaining available to it; if Google changes or withdraws that access, the tool may stop working.
7. No warranty
DriveBalance is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the publisher of DriveBalance shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, arising out of your use of or inability to use the service — including data you delete in Drive after consulting it. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Relationship to Google
DriveBalance is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Google LLC. Google, Google Drive and Google One are trademarks of Google LLC.
10. Changes
These terms may be updated; the current version always lives at this URL with its "last updated" date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
